With us, both technical and service operations as well as regulatory activities are gathered. The units included in the sector are Urban Environment, Environment and Building Permits, Catering, Cleaning, Water and Sewage, and Waste and Recycling. We are now looking for an engaged business developer who wants to contribute to sustainable development, efficient working methods, and high quality in our services.

Responsibilities

As a business developer, you will have a broad and strategic role. You will work closely with the sector manager, unit managers, and colleagues within the municipality to develop well-founded decision-making materials and drive development issues. The role is both analytical and coordinating - you contribute to structure, quality, and holistic thinking in the sector's work with core assignments, development, and investments.

Examples of responsibilities:

• Develop and present decision-making materials, analyses, and cases to the management group and committee.
• Drive and coordinate local strategic issues for suitable and resource-efficient premises.
• Lead investigations related to technical issues within water and sewage, waste and recycling, urban environment, property management, as well as catering and cleaning.
• Be a resource in the work with continuity planning and preparedness.
• Coordinate and develop the sector's governance and management systems as well as internal control.
• Participate in and/or lead development projects and improvement initiatives within the community sector.
• Represent the sector in internal and external collaboration forums.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is engaged, curious, development-driven, analytical, and collaborative. You have the ability to see both details and the big picture and enjoy translating complex information into clear and useful decision-making materials.

We would like you to have:

• Relevant university education in engineering, urban planning, natural sciences, public administration, or similar.
• Experience in qualified investigative and analytical work, preferably in the public sector.
• Good understanding of municipal operations and decision-making processes.
• Ability to work in a structured, independent, and solution-oriented manner.
• Very good communication skills in speech and writing, as well as experience with digital tools.
• Experience in governance and management systems, internal control, or project management is an advantage.
• Knowledge in water and sewage operations is particularly valuable.
